Wednesday was Abbie's first day of preschool. She had been counting down the number of sleeps for at least two weeks. She was so ecstatic for preschool. She wanted to go the minute she woke up that morning. She was really brave, and it didn't bother her a bit when it was time for Mom to go. She just said, "Bye, Mom. See you later!" and ran off to look at the books. I'll admit I cried as soon as I got to the van; I wasn't quite ready to let her go. Today Nathan cried when we dropped her off. He kept saying that he wanted his Abbie. Fortunately, the diversion of going to Grandma's house cheered him.
She is definitely ready to go, and so I am happy for her to have a chance to try something new. I asked her if she met any new friends, and she said, "Well, I sat by a girl who wore polka dots, and then there were some boys."

The first day she learned all about apples. Today she played Letter Bingo and thinks that it is a great new game we should play even if she didn't get a treat. :-) She is now counting down the days until the next preschool day since it is only three days a week. She might be the only person I know who is actually looking forward to Monday.
