We had a great adventure yesterday going to the Rexburg temple open house with the family. As always, we had a great experience surrounding the temple. Unfortunately, we didn't/couldn't work the camera thing out very well since we had to leave it in the van, and the kids were tired and ready to go home by the time we got back to the van, but thanks to Grandma we have souvenir napkins and brochures. :-) Abbie was really excited to go. She thought the lights were beautiful and loved the baptism room and the magic mirrors in the sealing room.
We had discussed the night before that she needed to be extra reverent in the temple and use her quiet voice. When we talked about the oxen around the font, she asked if she could moo at the big cows with horns. When I told her that we never moo in the temple, she asked, "Not even reverently, Mom?" She's a funny kid. When we were getting ready to go, I asked her which dress she wanted to wear, and she said that she wanted to wear a white dress because she was going to the temple to get married to Daddy. Playing along, I asked her what she was going to do after she got married, and she said that she was going to have five babies so that Nathan would have babies to play with after she was gone and married. I explained to her that she had to wait to get married until she was bigger, and she was a little disappointed at first but was excited to go and see the chandelier, or changeanear as she called it. It was great day, and we were glad to share it with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan.

What a cool thing for you and your family to go and do together. I love the way kids interpret things and what a it is great to have them be able to see the things that you talk about. We really wanted to go but couldn't. I also love the things that your kids say on the side. Those are the things that are fun to never forget!
