Catching up with the Farmers

Wow! Time flies when you are having fun in the summer. We'll recap our adventures with some photos.

Reed's Dairy Family Day
On one of our cold weather Saturday's, we headed to Reed's Dairy to visit the cows and enjoy some ice cream. The cows seemed happy and the ice cream was yummy. Nathan was a little grumpy as cow visiting hours seem to coincide with little boy nap times so he spent most of the afternoon with the camera as a happiness diversion. Hence the great shots we have to commemorate the day.

Zoo Fest 2009
To round out a great weekend of visiting animals in their native habit, we ventured to the zoo with Grandpa, Jo and Grandpa-Great. While the human company is always a highlight of our annual zoo fest, this year one of our animal highlights was the mamma duck and her babies that were out for a walk at Pelican's Pier. Abbie loved the flamingos (because they are pink), and what zoo visit would be complete without the classic sitting on a tiger photo. We loved Zoo Fest 2009!

Andrew was having so much fun, he tried to stand on his head in his stroller. Poor little guy. Every exhibits fence rail was the exact height of his stroller, but he had fun anyway.

Rexburg Visit
We ventured to the 'burg to attend the last concert of the summer in Smith Park and browse the bookstore for alumni/graduation memorabilia (oh, happy day that we need to browse for graduation memorabilia!). Anyway, whilst at the park, we met up with Michael's friends from BYU-I-- Mike and Cassie Grace. It was a fun night. Ever since, Nathan and Abbie have been playing concert, and I hear them say some things similar to what the performers said to introduce their songs. Funny kids! Mike Grace took scads of photos and was polite enough to share them with us. These are a few of my favorites that he took of the kiddos. Unfortunately, Nathan wasn't in his best mood so he was left out, but I think my other two are cute. :-)
