Today I think I have had enough help

All moms know that for the most part any and all help is appreciated as we take on the daunting task of rearing a clean-clothes-wearing generation of upstanding citizens in a spic and span house (sarcasm is understood here folks), but today I would like to wave the white flag of surrender towards help at our house.

Today all in the name of helping, Nathan has put the clean clothes from the laundry basket into the yet to be emptied hamper of dirty clothes. Abbie has selected an outfit for Andrew that hasn't fit him for at least a month, and she nearly had a breakdown when I tried to explain that he couldn't wear it. It couldn't be helped; the laws of physics are working against us on that one.

Abbie also tried to help Nathan get dressed, but I ended up with a really cranky, mostly naked toddler who didn't want anyone including Mom to come anywhere near him. Nathan is also helping me to remember patience as he is trying the art of yelling for everything he is trying to communicate. Andrew reminded me that today his sheets should be changed.....again. The breakfast helpers spilled cereal, and the lunchtime helpers put the milk and yogurt all over the table. Michael also tried to help in one area, but it didn't turn out so well either.

Fortunately, none of these situations are really that terrible, but when placed one right after another, a mom starts to wonder where is the line between the benefit of helping and just additional work created? I will let you figure that one out for yourself, all in the name of helping.
