General Conference and a birthday

Don't get excited. Not that birthday. This weekend, we celebrated year number two in our house. Abbie wanted to have a birthday party for the house so we invited Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan for some post conference celebrating.

During conference, Abbie would ask me "what's his name?" for nearly every speaker. When I'd tell her and if it wasn't an apostle, she would tell that they weren't in her book. She has a book of church pictures that has the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve in it. She and Nathan especially loved the Primary Choir on Saturday afternoon. She was so excited to sing some of the songs from her Primary program with people in conference. Abbie also made a bead necklace and bracelet for a quiet activity. Nathan played animals and slept. It was a great weekend.

Abbie insists that next Sunday will be Andrew's birthday because everyone has their birthday on Sunday (She has a point; by some strange coincidence all but one of our birthday celebrations this year have been on a Sunday. She thinks it is part of the Sunday after church routine). She also insists that she and Grandma will make a cake while Grandpa blows up the balloons, and Nathan plays blocks in the bedroom while Daddy and I are in the hospital for Andrew's birthday. We'll see. She may know something that I don't. We'll see.
