Another crazy week

It seemed every night this week when I was tucking Abbie in for the night, I would explain to her that tomorrow was going to be a crazy day. She would usually respond with, "Again!" This week was definitely far from our norm. On Monday, we took Nathan for more testing at the speech therapist. While we didn't finish all the tests, the initial results are a strong recommendatation that he have therapy and that he would greatly benefit from it so visiting our therapist Deborah will be a weekly event for the near future. His language skills are similar to those of a four-year-old; he just has problems spitting out the right sounds. I am glad that we were able to get him the help he needs before the problem got any worse.

That afternoon, I had my blood glucose test. Once again, I scored too high so I was given the opportunity for a follow up on Thursday. I hate the three hour test. I survived, and I have a lovely bruise on my arm for a badge of courage. Still waiting on the results, but I think it will be OK. My initial blood work also showed that I am slightly anemic so I get to take lovely red pills. Ten more weeks, ten more weeks :-)

During the week, we also had a visit from visiting teachers, a trip to the library, and a midweek trip to the grocery store for Mom's new iron-rich diet (icky). The great part of the week was probably yesterday when Michael started his new job at BYU-I. He spent most of the morning working through the employee enrollment and policies and all the paperwork which is involved, but he said he really enjoyed the afternoon when he actually got to talk geek with his new fellow geeks. We feel extremely blessed for this opportunity. This was definitely one of the highlights of a crazy week.

Wow, that does sound like a crazy week but I am glad that you made it through. How did your blood tests turn out? I hope that all is well and that these last few weeks turn out to be a breeze. (for me they never were but I do hope so for your sake). And Good LUCK Mike! We hope that all goes well!
