Snow Day

Since Dad is out of school, he has time to really have fun with the kids. Today was the day for the long awaited snowman building. Unfortunately, our snow was weird and couldn't stick together to make a snowball let a lone a snow man, but Abbie was very understanding. She had a lot of fun until the snow got too sugary (her version of shivering). :-)

Showing off her new boots for the camera--she told me she was so excited to wear boots like the man with the yellow hat on Curious George.

All dressed up snug as a bug--she looked at least 4 inches taller in her snow gear, but she was a cute snow bunny.

Since the snow was strange, Dad and Abbie had to resort to snow angels instead of snowmen. They laughed the whole time. Abbie loved making tracks in the snow and telling Dad to stay in her footprints.
After playing, Abbie helped Dad shovel out the driveway. She kept saying that it was hard work, but that she was a big enough girl to do it.

She was really getting the hang of the shoveling. She is a great helper.

What's better than hot chocolate to follow up a great afternoon playing in the snow? True to form, she ate all the marshmallows first and in one bite.

What great pictures! Isn't it fun to watch dad's play in the snow with the kids. I still haven't gotten up enough courage to brave the kids snowballs! But Abbie looks like she is having a blast and how fun for you to have Mike around more since school is out! I hope that your Christmas is wonderful!
