Happy Holidays!

It's finally starting to look like Christmas at our house. We waited until Dad had finished his semester before we tackled the Christmas decorations. We had to put the tree behind our couch to keep curious fingers from removing ornaments and knocking down the tree. So far our scheme has worked splendidly.

We had oodles of fun on Saturday putting up our trees. Abbie decorated one with Papa and said, "that is the most cutiful (combination of cute and beautiful) tree I have ever seen in the whole world!" We also made tons of treats with family and friends. So far the favorites have been the Noodle Candy aka spider bodies. We have also finally convinced Abbie that the rolls of wrapping paper we purchased on our last shopping run do not belong under the tree. She was pretty determined and had two of her favorite rolls half way up the stairs before I convinced her that we needed to save them for Santa to use when he brings her presents. She's been really fun this year, and she tells a great version of the Nativity, and has a cute rendition of Away in a Manager and Rudolph. Merry Christmas everyone!

Great idea about the tree. I think it would be a disaster in our house because my son would probably try to climb to the top of it using the couch but I am glad it is working for you! I also love the wrapping paper bit with Abbie! Don't you love the stories we are going to get to tell when they get older!
