For Spring Break this year, we decided that we really needed a break so we packed everybody up and headed to Grandma Farmer's house. We had great adventures at Hogle Zoo and the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum. We all had a great time. Thanks for the adventure, Grandma!

Over the river and through the woods, but in our case it was over Malad and through the traffic to Grandmother's house.
Dinosaur Museum (ok, technically it is the museum of ancient history, but to the kids it was all about the dinosaurs.)

Nathan and Abbie love their dinosaurs. One of their favorites is the triceratops. They were very happy to see it as soon as we walked in the door.

They called this the puzzle room because it's were they put the dinosaur pieces together.

Mom and Nathan under the Supersaurus.

Nathan enjoying the water life exhibit.

The three big kids :-) enjoyed the hands-on exhibits especially the erosion table where they could build with sand, water and toy dinosaurs.

Nathan, my puzzle lover, was thrilled by the giant dinosaur puzzle.

Tank, the beloved triceratops

I love Nathan's facial expression here. Andrew was asking a question. :-)

For the entire trip, Andrew was once again our dream baby. He was very good to sit in this stroller and take in the sights.

Abbie and Nathan loved digging for dinosaur bones. They were very careful with their brushes.
The Zoo

We were prepared; we were ready. Bring on those animals. Please note the map in Nathan's hand. It was a very important part of our visit. The kids had a lot of input on where we would venture next.

First stop, the baby elephant. Nathan had been practicing his sounds so he could say elephant and giraffe perfectly. For his reward, we spent a lot of time at the elephant and giraffe houses.

This giraffe must have liked the taste of his wall because he kept licking it which of course was hilarious for the kids.

What trip to the zoo would be complete without seeing how you measure up to a great ape?

Rhino impressions anyone?

Gorillas in the snow. The weather was cool, but since we aren't heat lovers it worked great for us.

Andrew, cute Andrew....have I mentioned that this kid is a dream. He was great even though I think from his vantage point there wasn't much to see besides knee caps and fence rails.

The big kids rode the carousel. Nathan was scared and happy about his giraffe ride.

Abbie loved the zebra ride.

The camera took a tumble so this is the last of the photos, but never fear, Michael is always willing to buy more electronic toys. New camera is in the bag.
In addition, we stopped by Dad's Utah office to say hello. It was fun to see where Michael works when he's away. It was a busy two days, but it was a great spring break even if it did snow everyday. We had tons of fun; thanks again Grandma!
