Fort+birthday+brownies+cookies+sidekick=our recent adventures

On Mom's night off, Dad made a fort for the kids to watch their new favorite movie: Snow White. Hurray for Dad. They love all things Snow White. They take turns being the dwarfs and acting out the scenes. My favorite is when Nathan discovers that the dwarfs house has been cleaned. Funny kids.

Andrew celebrated his five month birthday this week. He's still a great kid--laughing and smiling almost all the time. He's pushing the 18-19 pound mark....soon it'll be time for a new car seat :-(

Nothing like a good spoon to lick after helping Mom make the brownies for the FHE treat :-).
For a St. Patrick's Day activity, we made animal sugar cookies. (not really Irish I know, but in my defense, I am pretty sure that my ancestors had wars with the Irish so we settled on cookies.) I think the activity was a hit because Nathan couldn't stop eating them long enough for the picture.

I think that Andrew looks like a trusty sidekick in a western movie in this hat. He mostly reminds me of Porky Pig in the Drip A long Daffy cartoon from my youth--but he's cuter.
Lately, the best and most efficient way to get Andrew to sleep is to put him in his jumper... sounds kind of backwards I know, but he calms right now and falls asleep after only about four minutes. After he's asleep, I put him in his bed. Funny kid--he likes to sleep standing up.
