So plastic carrots and orange crayons may look and sound the same from a distance, but trust me they don't write the same. Nathan was playing under the kitchen table (again) and I saw that he had a toy carrot in his hand. Abbie then called to me to help her with something. When I returned to Nathan, he was rubbing something orange on the wall. It sounded like the plastic carrot so I went to finish another project. I turned my head just for a second, and it was then that I noticed that carrot had been exchanged for an orange crayon. This is our first experience with a budding Monet on the walls, but I am finally able to justify spending the extra 25 cents for the washable crayons.
